PIAUD Students Participate in Student Leadership Excursion at Universiti Putra Malaysia

In 2019, the student body of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training held a Student Leadership Excursion to Singapore and Malaysia. This activity was held for five days, 10-14 December 2019. The purpose of this activity was to broaden students' knowledge about the student institution system in Singapore. In addition, so that students understand education abroad, especially at Universiti Putra Malaysia. They directly dialogue with international students to broaden their academic and non-academic insights.

During the activity, students carried out several activities, such as conducting cultural studies by visiting several vital places in Malaysia. The Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur Tower, and the Malaysia State Mosque were selected as the objects of study. Students observe and record things that inspire and benefit them and the organization.

In the following important activity, students discussed with the management of the student body of the University of Putera Malaysia. The materials discussed included the management of student institutions, particularly related to the electoral system. They exchange experiences in managing student institutions to be more advanced and leading.

Furthermore, students also held a meeting with the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) at the University of Malaya. This meeting discussed the education system, starting from the registration procedure, what majors are available, how to choose majors, and the lecture system. The meeting results provide essential information for Indonesian students interested in continuing their studies at the University of Malaya.

Another exciting experience, students are also allowed to attend lectures at the Faculty of Education. They attended the instructional design class taught by Dr Mohd Shahril Nizam bin Shaharom. Students learned to make learning designs using audio-visual media, such as animation.
