The quality of the curriculum and learning is our primary commitment and priority in managing the Bachelor of Islamic early childhood education program.
We support lecturers applying case study strategies and project-based learning in classroom learning. Case Method is a student-centred learning strategy that can provide them with critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
For example, in learning family education courses, lecturers can apply case study strategies by facilitating students to develop and analyse parental engagement aimed at identifying good practices in schools in Low Socio-economic Status (SES) communities to advance understanding of what has worked well and in what contexts. Parental encouragement and support for learning activities at home, combined with parental involvement in schooling, is critical to children’s learning. When schools and families work together in partnership, children are more likely to perform better academically, stay in school longer and enjoy their schooling.
The case studies detail the background of the schools studied, their particular challenges and what techniques have worked well and improved parental engagement outcomes. They provide examples of parental engagement for other school communities to consider and draw upon.
