Leadership is about the art of motivating, influencing, and directing people so that they work together to achieve the goals of a team or broader organisation. It’s important for students to experience leadership opportunities during their studies, to learn the art of building relationships within teams, defining identities, and achieving tasks effectively. It also provides an opportunity to learn to identify and display effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership begins with identifying and understanding our values. Our values are our fundamental beliefs – those principles we consider to be worthwhile and desirable. The PIAUD Study Program states the values of excellence as Program Education Objectives (PEOs). These superior values are formulated based on the vision and mission of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Education, and the PIAUD Study Program. The formulation of these shared values considers the suggestions of users, alumni, and professional associations. PEO consists of the following essential keywords:
